Biography
I
coordinate LearnLinks, an RMIT University Learning Network -an
innovative
cross sectoral partnership delivering accredited programs to disadvantaged
learners in the northern Melbourne and north eastern Victorian
regions. The focus of the program is enable access to education
through the use of technology and online learning. I am one of
23 inaugural ANTA
Flexible Learning Leaders.
I am on leave from Wodonga
Institute of TAFE, Victoria, where as
well as coordinating the tutor and learner support systems for
conventional distance delivery I was responsible for developing
alternative delivery options which increase access and opportunities
for learners. So I spend a fair bit of time traveling up and down
the highway to the border of New South Wales and Victoria.
In 2002 our team created and delivered a professional development
program for teachers and trainers based on Gilly Salmon's e-moderation
and many of the presentations in this poster session are based
on the experiences of teachers in that program. (Details at http://www.learnlinks.com.au)
