Chat or to Chatter: Making Online Sense of the Chat Room Environment
Biography
In
1974, Dawn earned her B.S. in chemistry, with minors in mathematics
and biology, from Bethel College in Mishawaka, Indiana. She went
on to receive an M.S. in physical chemistry from the University
of Notre Dame in 1982. She taught in the public school system until
1991 when she secured employment as the chemistry/physics instructor
for Cochise College in southeastern Arizona. In 1999 she developed
an Intermediate Algebra course for online delivery and is now a
member of the Cochise College online faculty. She is currently
working toward an Ed.D. in Curriculum and Instruction with a technology
emphasis from Northern Arizona University and expects to complete
the program in the next few years.
